
Start Up Loans is a government initiative which aims to make finance available to people who are either looking to start their own business or are within the first 2 years of trading. The scheme also offers access to a range of expert advice, training and support services to help your business start and grow.
Eligibility
To apply for a loan you should be:
- aged over 18
- intending to start a business, or you already running a business, which has been trading under 2 years
How does it work?
The amount you can borrow can vary – from £1,000 to £25,000, with the average amount around £5,500. The loan can be repaid over a period from 1 to 5 years at a total interest rate of 6.2% APR. There are no lending fees.
After you have completed the initial outline form on the link below our Advisers will work with you to complete your business proposal and application form, providing impartial advice and support, increasing your chance of securing the funding you require. If successful, mentoring support will also be provided with the loan, giving you additional advice and guidance.
